Desk Calendar

Highly anticipated each year, this calendar is a true a collector's item. This year's calendar features scenes from all over New England. Enjoy a new adventure every month.

A Note from the artist: My 2011 calendar reflects the past year capturing moments that otherwise might seem ordinary. I found it interesting how the window on Bustins Island in Maine had a bird sculpture and bottles in the window. The peeling tar paper shacks at Willard Beach were beautiful as the aqua colored shadow on the door was so vivid. The O’Neill House in Jamestown, Rhode Island was built for my friend’s great great great Aunt for her wedding present. I was captured by the ordinariness of the garden cart up against the side of the house and the laundry on the line. I also enjoyed the path going down to the water. I love how the light casts shadows on the lighthouse at Green Island, Vinalhaven, Maine and how I came across a beautiful view along the road heading down to the docks on Monhegan Island. The view of Granite Farm in Brunswick was mesmerizing; it's shades of blue blanking the snow and the brilliant, warm yellow sunlight cast itself against the barn. Painting this year’s calendar was pure joy. I hope you enjoy each month as much as I enjoyed painting the images.
