What's new at annie|catherine in 2008?
What are we looking to accomplish this year? And what do we have in mind for next year? (Yes, we're thinking about that already!)
our new hire
Late last year we hired an amazing new employee, Daniel Winship, who is not only helping us get all those orders out, but is also a talented illustrator. Winship brings a plethora of ideas and skills to the company as well as a few challenges. Daniel is a deaf person. A fact that has challenged us live our mission. When we founded the company in 2004 we wanted to create a work environment that was all about fairness, equality and a shared sense of purpose. The addition of Daniel to the staff not only helps us realize our initial vision but also expands our collection of artwork.
new additions to our line
In addition to expanding our team, we have created several new product categories including Wedding, Baby, Valentine's and Sympathy, as well as adding an assortment of new products to exisiting categories, the most exciting of which will be a summer launch of a whole new line of Wrapping Paper and coordinating Gift Enclosures.
keeping it green
We live in Maine. One of the most beautiful places in the world. And we definitely want to keep it that way. In keeping with our commitment to the environment, and our hopes for the world, we are not only reducing our carbon footprint by printing all of our products locally, here in Maine but also by printing our stationery products in a facility whose power is generated entirely by wind power. In addition, all of our cards are printed on environmentally friendly FSC certified papers. This ensures that these papers are from well managed forests, controlled sources and are made with recycled wood or fiber. It feels good to offer products that you can feel good about buying, and we hope that you will join us in helping to preserve this lovely planet by doing something nice for the environment today. Take cloth bags to the grocery store, reuse anything you can, buy recycled or recycable items and most of all, don't buy anything that won't stand the test of time.
