In 2004 when we came together to form annie|catherine, we both felt strongly about two things: Artistic integrity and giving back.
Therefore, when we incorporated, we pledged to hold fast to our artistic integrity. To always paint or design or craft what is in our hearts and not to simply create what might sell best in the marketplace. From the beginning we have felt that if we were to dedicate ourselves to living a creative life, we must do so without letting what we perceive others want to stifle the process, therefore offering our customers something completely original and unique.
Secondly, we give back. With everything we produce, our thoughts are of helping others. Whether it is our commitment to produce our products in the USA (reducing our carbon footprint and ensuring jobs) or using recycled materials in our products, our aim is the same: to keep our environment green and to help others all that we can. To that end we also donate 5% of our total profits and countless works to organizations who enrich the lives of others.
Our studio is located in Westbrook, Maine in a renovated woolen mill occupied by many other artists, photographers and creative types. From here we distribute to over 700 stores across the United States and internationally.
